Job Description

  • Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint;
  • Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler;
  • Tape, float, and textured walls and ceilings;
  • Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun or paint rollers;
  • Use scaffolding or set up the ladder to perform tasks above ground level;
  • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.

Requirements

  • Able to work full-time all year round (40+ hours/week);
  • Must have own transportation (job site locations will change with time);
  • Ladder work experience;
  • Painting experience.

Job Description

  • Intro to caulking, patching, sanding and scraping;
  • Interior preparation;
  • Daily set up & clean up.

You will be in charge of supervising and participating in all activities related to the accomplishments of specific jobs as delegated by the General Field Supervisor. The responsibilities of the Crew Leader rely primarily on the success of the job he is running. Success can be defined as the job being completed on schedule and the customer is happy with the work performed.

Job Description

  • Must have a clear understanding of job-site safety;
  • Must possess knowledge of products;
  • Must have the ability to document daily activities;
  • Must be able to efficiently manage the crew and tasks associated with completing a job;
  • Must be proficient in the use of technology (PlanGrid, Microsoft Outlook);
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish & English).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Get all pre-work selections approved and come up with “game plan” to finish the job on time;
  • The Crew Leader is responsible for the safety and performance of every man on his crew;
  • The Crew Leader is to monitor attendance, appearance, language, and proper use of equipment;
  • It is the Crew Leader’s responsibility to see that all new hires are trained according to new hire training procedures. Field Training is to be completed appropriately and in a timely manner;
  • Monitor crew’s performance and make the necessary adjustments to bring the job in “Happy & Under”;
  • Keep a record of everyone’s attendance and make performance level evaluations, whether good or bad, on his/her crew members;
  • Attend on-site meetings;
  • Keep job site signs on all current jobs, return them after job completion;
  • Coordinate material inventory and delivery as needed for a job with the Field Manager;
  • Deal with customers’ questions and concerns on the job site daily. Report concerns and/or problems to the field manager or supervisor immediately.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Read blueprints
  • Installation of doors and hardware, cabinets, wall paneling, running and standing trim, etc
  • Manage your project and customers questions
  • Complete projects in a professional and timely manner
  • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean
  • Report incidents and accidents that result in injury and/or property damage immediately to the Foreman on the job site.
  • Maintain personal hand tools required for the job, and have them available on the job site

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as a carpenter
  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines always
  • Good understanding of basic math
  • High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is preferred
